A typical day in the life of a Front of House Manager:
Manage the front desk team and ensure a smooth, friendly welcome for all members
Handle bookings, payments, and member queries professionally.
Maintain a clean, organised front-of-house area
Keep accurate records and monitor front desk supplies
Act as Duty Manager, being responsible for the club during shifts
Lead opening/closing procedures and support in emergencies
Motivate the wider team and help deliver a great member experience
Oversee daily café operations, ensuring top-quality service and hygiene standards
Lead and develop café staff: rota planning, training, and performance management
Manage stock levels, control waste, and keep costs within budget
Handle cash and tills, ensuring accurate financial records
Ensure all food and drinks are well-presented and meet brand standards
Support promotions and events to increase sales and engagement
What we are looking for:
Proven experience in a café, hospitality, or food and beverage management role
Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a customer service environment
Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate
Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on creating positive experiences
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good financial acumen and experience managing budgets and reporting
Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively
Proactive, results-driven, and adaptable to changing priorities
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to establish rapport, build trust, and demonstrate credibility
Good organisational and multitasking abilities
Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings (from 5:30am), late evenings (up to 10:30pm), weekends, and holidays
