A typical day in the life of a Junior Data Analyst:
Gather data from various internal and external sources.
Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Assist in maintaining and updating databases and data systems.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualisations to present data insights to stakeholders.
Collaborate with senior analysts to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
Collect, organise, and maintain large sets of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources including CRM systems, financial records, and customer feedback.
Assist in the development and maintenance of data models and analytical frameworks.
Contribute to ongoing data analytics projects by supporting data preparation, analysis, and documentation.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide support as required.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new analytical tools, and technologies.
Propose and implement improvements to current data collection, storage, and analysis processes.
What we are looking for:
1-2 years experience in data analysis or a related field. Internships and academic projects involving data analytics are advantageous.
Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI or similar).
Basic knowledge of SQL and Excel for querying databases.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to clearly present complex data in a simple and actionable manner.
Ability to analyse large and complex data sets to identify key insights and trends.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong desire to continuously improve and learn.
It would be desirable if you had a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. Or an equivalent qualification such as Data Analyst L3. It would be advantageous if you had experience within the health, fitness, or hospitality industry.
