Job Title : Senior Fitness Advisor

Hours : 40 hours per week, over 5 days
Rate of Pay : £12.40 per hour

About the Role

Applicants are invited for a Senior Fitness Advisor/ Group Exercise Coordinator at our Barnsley health club with its state of the art gym environment. The successful applicant will run gym programmes, fitness assessments, teach studio classes and complete pool testing compliance. As well as fitness instructor roles, a large part of this role is Group Exercise Coordinator, to oversee, alongside the Fitness Manager, our bespoke and very busy group exercise programme. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for group fitness to support us by developing and expanding the class range quality of the timetable. You will also be required to conduct and deliver our group exercise classes to our members.

As part of our service requirement you will be expected to work shifts that will include evenings and weekends.

You will form part of a professional team that manages and maintains a clean, safe environment for its members and has a good understanding of fitness technology and trends. As part of our service requirement you will be expected to work shifts that will include evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to develop their talents in an industry which is truly rewarding. We are looking for someone hard-working and flexible with a NVQ Level 3 fitness qualification as a minimum along with an understanding of fitness technology and trends. You should professionally live and breathe a healthy lifestyle and be able to provide excellent customer service.

Level 3 Personal Training qualification essential**

Qualifications in at least 2 group exercise disciplines (ideally Les Mills, however training in these will be given**

Strong communication skills and have a natural flair for going above and beyond the expectations of our members

Experience in teaching/ instructing
