Job Title: Junior Activities Manager

Hours: 40 hours per week, over 5 days

Rate of Pay: £13.22 per hour

 

About the Role:

Applications are invited for an experienced Junior Activities Manager at one of our prestigious health clubs with its state of the art gym environment.  As the Junior Activities Manager you will be responsible for the Club-B offering, comprising Creche, Soft Play and Arts & Crafts. This will include child safeguarding, management of the team of creche assistants and overseeing member bookings and ratio control for each area. You will provide a safe, professional, fun and educationally engaging service to all the children and engage closely with parents at all times. You will promote regular activities such as family events, themed parties, holiday camps and birthday parties. Financial targets are set for this department and you will provide regular reports for the General Manager. You will support the Fitness Manager in the safe offering of junior gym activities and the Swim Coordinator in the delivery of our own internal swim school.

Taking on the role of a key person to a group of children you will be expected to promote positive relationships with children, their parents and other staff members. You will be required to observe and assess children's learning and development and plan for their next steps. Liaising with parents on a daily basis as well as devising termly progress reports in order to share information with parents regarding their children's learning and development. High quality interactions and levels of involvement with the children alongside ensuring all statutory requirements are consistently met is essential, whilst ensuring the overall safety and well-being of the children and a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.

 

About the Candidate:

Able to work with children and as part of a team Following instructions and using their own initiative where and when required Excellent knowledge and understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage Excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding Candidates will be required to have a current or updated DBS check. You will be Level 3 Early Years (or equivalent) trained and have a relevant experience in a childcare setting.
