A typical day in the life of a Waiting Staff:
Greet guests warmly and professionally, ensuring they are seated comfortably and promptly attended to.
Take accurate food and drink orders using the hotel’s ordering system and relay them efficiently to the kitchen or bar.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
Maintain excellent product knowledge of menus, daily specials, wine lists, and allergen information.
Ensure all tables are cleaned and reset quickly and efficiently for the next guests.
Handle guest queries or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Restaurant Manager where needed.
Assist with the preparation, restocking, and cleaning of the restaurant or bar before, during, and after service.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with health and safety and food safety regulations.
Support colleagues and contribute positively to team morale and the overall guest experience.
Attend team meetings and training as required to continually improve service and performance.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including COSHH, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
It would be desirable if you had previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a restaurant or hotel environment. It would also be advantageous to hold a Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 1 or above), but not essential – training can be provided.
